Matt Michels, CPA, CGMA

Matt Michels is a Partner at Fruci & Associates and has been serving the firm since with more than two decades of experience in public accounting. He partners with the Spokane business community across a wide spectrum of industries, helping business owners and management teams navigate accounting, tax, and financial reporting challenges with clarity and practical guidance.

Matt’s expertise encompasses accounting system development, internal controls, tax compliance, and financial statement preparation. He has particular experience working with nonprofit organizations and professional services firms, medical professionals, and attorneys, delivering tailored financial reporting and tax strategies that reflect the unique requirements of these sectors.  He works collaboratively with clients to design accounting frameworks that support effective operational analysis and informed decision-making. His goal is to ensure clients have reliable information and actionable insights to grow and manage their organizations successfully.

Matt is a Spokane native, Eastern Washington University alumni, and a multi-sport athlete that enjoys traveling and exploring new places with his family.
